5 Gorgeous Parks Around Coral Gables

Neighboring Miami, Coral Gables draws a crowd with its breathtaking array of unique cultural landmarks, fantastic dining, and beautiful natural attractions. Travelers love to explore the area’s finest beaches, grassy lawns, and preserved natural spaces. So to help guide the way, we listed out five of our favorite parks in Coral Gables. 

Phillips Park

Phillips Park is a family-friendly and sports oriented park with basketball courts, ball fields, tennis courts, and a playground. Plan to post up at a rustic wood table for a picnic, which feels downright romantic on a sunny afternoon in South Florida.

Matheson Hammock Park

There’s plenty of room to roam across the 630-acres of urban green space comprising Matheson Hammock Park in Coral Gables. Home to beautiful and family friendly beaches, you’ll enjoy this excellent park for a long day of sunbathing, swimming, and paddling out on a board or kayak.

Ingraham Park

Ingraham Park is an eclectic little park with just over two acres of walking paths and picnic tables. At its heart, you can check out a gorgeous fountain and scenic views of Coral Gables’ famous canals.

Chapman Field Park

Chapman Field Park is a gorgeous, near 500-acre park in Coral Gables and Miami. The vast majority of this space consists of mangrove forests and saltwater estuaries—it’s quite beautiful and gives the sense that you’re deep inside a tropical forest. The park is a popular canoeing destination, with daily rentals available.

Country Club Prado Parkway

This small, unique half-mile stretch of parkway is nice for a stroll, or even a picnic on either of its parallel grassy lawns. The Country Club Prado Parkway is lined with historic 1920’s arches.
